Abstract:

The purpose of the program is to construct and evaluate in detail a model 745H traveling wave tube. This tube was primarily developed for use in communication systems and covers the military band from 7.9 to 8.4 GHz. It utilizes a coupled cavity slow-wave circuit which possesses a high interaction impedance to assure good efficiency over the band. In addition, it is mechanically and thermally very rugged. Author
