Abstract:
Separation of Far East tickborne encephalitis into an independent nosological form, demonstration of its agent, and establishment of its epidemiology, clinical features, pathological anatomy, and tick transmission, is one of the great achievements of the Soviet Science, which founded a new chapter of infectious pathology. Today, more than a thousand works on the study of tickborne encephalitis have been published, and research workers in many large laboratories in the Soviet Union are continuing to study this problem.
