Abstract:

The distribution of Ixodes redikorzevi is generally associated with mountain-forest landscapes with a mild, humid climate characteristic of the Mediterranean area. In Ukrainian SSR, wide distribution of I. redikorzevi has been recorded in Crimea Oblast Vshivkov, and Khodykina. In 1963-1965 it was established that this species distribution range extends far beyond the Crimea boundary. This tick species has been recorded in the steppe areas of the Black and Azov seas, and also in several localities of Donetz, Dnepropetrovsk, Luga, Odessa, Kherson, and Chernovitsy Oblasts. Author
