A brief review is given of basic function-modeling and function-inverting features of adaptive nets. Applications are discussed to adaptive matrix inversion, decorrelation, and some of the features that optimize the performance of such nets. Areas of application of the algorithms and networks for optimal deterministic modeling of systems with unknown plants are indicated. Author
