Title:
NEW IMPROVED POLYOLEFIN WIRE AND CABLE RESINS,
Corporate Author:
PHILLIPS PETROLEUM CO BARTLESVILLE OKLA
Report Date:
1964-01-01
Abstract:
A number of new polyolefin wire and cable resins have recently been developed for a variety of communications, power and control applications. The purpose of this report is to present the latest information on new wire and cable polyolefin resins. Specifically, this report will be concerned with discussing the physical, electrical and rheological properties of a a low density polyethylene resin with improved environmental stress crack resistance for sheathing applications, b a high density polyethylene resin with improved stress cracking and processing characteristics, and c an ultra-high molecular weight high density ethylene-butene copolymer with improved abrasion resistance and toughness. It should be noted that the three above mentioned resins are commercially available at this time. Author
