Title:
A RESEARCH STUDY ON INTERNAL CORROSION OF HIGH PRESSURE BOILERS.
Corporate Author:
AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS NEW YORK
Report Date:
1965-01-01
Abstract:
The primary goal of this test program is to determine the cause and practical preventive solutions for the type of internal corrosion commonly experienced in units operating at pressures between 800-2600 psig. Such corrosion usually predominates in furnace wall tubes which are subject to a high rate of heat transfer. Attack is normally restricted to the hot side of the tube where boiling occurs.
