Abstract:
The project had two main objectives a the design and construction of an infrared spectrometer which would operate below the region accessible to commercial instruments i.e. below ca. 380cm. and b the application of the spectrometer to various problems of interest, and especially to inorganic molecules. Objective a was essentially completed by December, 1962, although considerable modifications were effected during the subsequent six months. Since that time continuous use of the instrument has been made.
