Abstract:
Calculations are performed to show directionality and similar properties in special acoustical fields. Tabulations are given of the fields of a radiating sphere or cylinder with one or two hot spots. Special noise fields are discussed, and graphs given showing the noise produced by a radiating line source, the energy of the noise being distributed along the radiating line in nonuniform manner.
