Programs planned, and carried out in varying degree include short seismic refraction lines, continuous underway topographic, magnetic and gravity observations, hydrographic casts, piston and gravity coring, heat flow measurements, bottom photography and dredging, plankton tows and dip-netting on stations, Carbon dioxide analysis and surface water samples for radiocesium analysis.
