Abstract:

To solve the problem of free thermal convection in a stationary regime of liquid flow the similarity theory enables one to obtain a general formula in the form of NufGrPr, where Gr Grasshof parameter Pr Prandtl parameter, Nu Nusselt parameter. In this report an effort is made to obtain analytically the form of the function f with the aid of Leybenzons integral ratio. Stationary thermal convection-near a horizontal cylinder of infinite length is discussed. A cylinder of finite diameter is imitated as a linear source of heat.
