Abstract:
Parkins theory of fully cavitated flow at nonzero cavitation numbers is modified and linearized. The modification lies in a corrected closure condition, taking into account the leading edge and cavity-end singularities. The linearized lift and moment expressions are derived for correlation with planned experiments which consist of measurements of the spanwise lift and moment distributions followed by flutter tests.
