Title:
A DEMAND DISTRIBUTION MODEL,
Corporate Author:
GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIV WASHINGTON D C
Report Date:

Abstract:
A particular repair policy is employed as rationale for the derivation of a time dependent stochastic process which yields a family of demand distributions appropriate to situations in which demand events have multiple outcomes. Elementary properties of these distributions are derived. Under plausible specialization of assumptions the family is found to include the Poisson distribution and a known natural generalization thereof. Author
