Title:
MATERIALS ON THE TOXICOLOGY OF RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCES,
Corporate Author:
FOREIGN TECHNOLOGY DIV WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OHIO
Report Date:
1964-09-21
Abstract:
This third collection of works on the toxicology of radioactive substances has theoretical and practical value for radiobiology. The presentation of this collection gives, to a wide circle of radiobiologists, interesting data on the effect of radioactive iron Fe59 on the hemopoiesis system, on the variation of the carbohydrate metabolism, the cardio-vascular system, and the biological currents of the brain, and on the morphological displacements during acute and chronic effects. Interest in this isotope, on the part of toxicologists, hematologists, and radiobiologists, is connected with its wide use in industry and medicine.
