The objective of this research was to investigate methods for production of sodium perchlorate without the use of platinum to include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following 1 the use of anodes comprising silicon - silicon carbide 2 the use of lead dioxide coated anodes and 3 the disproportionation of sodium chlorate in acid solution.
