Abstract:
Research is directed toward the investigation of high-power beam-plasma interactions, with specific investigation of the transverse velocity beam modes called for. The theoretical and experimental investigations of the coupling techniques were continued. An experiment to determine the coupling from electromagnetic to electrostatic waves was performed and transverse beam-plasma experiments begun. A new flexible experimental set up for the two-beam experiment and other studies was begun.
