Abstract:
The numerous works dealing with the formation of a gas jet provide only a very approximate qualitative picture, not based on experiment, of the processes taking place. Determination of the gas-dynamical parameters behind a shock-wave front on the shock waves emergence from a cylindrical nozzle into the atmosphere, as well as the shock waves subsequent propagation is a problem involving the collapse of a spatial arbitrary discontinuity which thus far is unsolved. The present work is devoted to studying the formation of a gas jet behind the front of a shock wave on emergence from a cylindrical nozzle into the atmosphere. Author
