Corporate Author:

Report Date:

Abstract:
Primary emphasis is currently being placed on hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine, and UDMH 50 wt. - N2H4 50 wt. with respect to 1 examination and incorporation of photochemical effects in explosion theory 2 examination of the existent literature in order to determine the appropriate chemical kinetics required for calculations of the effects of photochemical processes on high density monopropellants. Both thermal and photochemical kinetic data are included 3 spectral characterization of the radiative spectral environments of engines that could contribute to photochemical effects on the unstable propellants being consumed 4 planning and design of selected experiments aimed at defining the magnitude of the effect of photochemical processes on explosion limits.
