Report Date:

Abstract:
Conclusions 1 the effect of ultrasound on statically stressed brass causes a reduction in the properties of the metal, 2 the effect of ultrasound on brass in the process of tensile testing causes a simultaneous reduction in tenacity and plasticity, and 3 simultaneous reduction in tenacity and plasticity under the effect of ultrasound appears to be basically the result of ultrasonic vibrations effect, and not the result of temperature rise, which in our investigations was insignificant.
