Abstract:
This annotated bibliography is the result of a literature search for methods of solution of sinusoidally excited, steady state, elastic wave propagation in extensive elastic bodies. Transient effects were excluded. Papers on finite systems such as beams with different end conditions, plates and shells were excluded unless they contributed methods useful for the wave propagation problem. The analysis of dissipative media was not specifically excluded but little was found. The papers are roughly divided into two main classifications those dealing with specific wave propagation problems and hose dealing with more general methods applicable to a wide class of problems.
