The Simons cell fluorination method was extended to the synthesis of C4F92SF4. About 20 g of this material is now available. The preparation of perfluoro-s-trithiane dodecafluoride, CF2SF43, by the electrolysis of s-trithiane in hydrogen fluoride is proving to be difficult.
