Abstract:
A comprehensive investigation of electro-discharge machinig is presented. Special emphasis is given to optimization of process parameters, involving the fundamentals of the process to include machining fluid, electrode tool material, machine tool, servomechanism, and power supply in the Phase I program. Operating data and results of a demonstrative program are presented as the Phase II effort. Design and Process Specifications are included as the Phase III program.
