Abstract:
Research was continued on a study of the physical processes which govern the ignition by rapid compression of hydraulics. The construc tion of the experimental apparatus was completed. A schematic diagram of the apparatus is shown, with a photograph of the valve and the test section. A description of the test apparatus and its operation is given. An analysis was made of the axial and radial transfer of heat from a driven gas. Temperature profiles are given for various pipe diameters. Also see AD-417 599, 417 600 and 417 602 to 417 614. Author
