Abstract:
Efforts were continued on the establishment of a PEM on the CR-XM-45U quartz crystal units. The crystal units are in the 90 kc to 200 kc fre quency range. They are similar to the GR-42AU units except that they must withstand much more severe vibration and they must hold much tighter frequency stability over the 70 C to 80 C operating temperature range. The various experimental designs which were derived and evaluated are reviewed. The strengths and the weaknesses are discussed of each of the experi mental designs and it is shown that the GR-XM-45U requirements are mutually prohibi tive. Author
