Abstract:
Effort was continued to develop the Surface Ship Integrated Control SURIC. The current phase of the program has been concerned with several inter-related tasks in the areas of bridge instrumentation and ship control. These included 1 A study of advanced bridge instrumentation systems for ships of the destroy er class and the generation of performance requirements for the equipments 2 Completion of simulation studies using the experimental Conning Console built in an earlier phase of the program and 3 A study of the interface and dynamic requirements of ship vehicle control from the bridge.
