Abstract:
The objective of these studies up o the curentperiod has been to determine whether or not the degradation products following tissueinjury, specifically thermal, can be lethal and oxic to the host to isolate and identfy these toxins to determine whether these toxins have the capacity ofproducing autoantibodies in theinjued host and to determine if te blod of paties convalescingfrm extensive thermal injury will counteract the toxemia and reduce the mortality of severely burned human subjects.
