Abstract:
The properties of boundary layers, formed by solutions of organic acids in liquid hydrocarbons are considered. An attempt is made to establish the relationship between these layers and the structure, composition, and concentrations of the acids mainly fatty and the composition of the solvent. Only the static and quasi-static properties are considered. Work was undertaken to elaborate the preliminary data concerning the relationship between static and kinetic friction which had been obtained by others by means of a dynamometer-motor. Author
