Abstract:
The previously unreported n-amyl, n-hexyl, n-heptyl and n-octyl perchlorates were prepared from the corresponding alkyl iodide and AgClO4. The pure perchlorate esters were stabilized as the endocyte of a urea inclusion compound. The IR spectra and some physical properties are reported for the n-alkyl perchlorates.
