Abstract:
Three methods of sealing glass enclosures, type HC-26, were tried. A gas flame method was found to be best, since control of crystal unit heating is more satisfactory. A sealing machine was developed around the well-known vertical lathe but with an improved gas flow control and vacuum chuck. The operating procedure for this equipment is described. Author
