Title:
EFFECTS OF NUCLEAR RADIATION ON THE PROPERTIES OF REACTOR STRUCTURAL MATERIALS.
Corporate Author:
NAVAL RESEARCH LAB WASHINGTON D C
Report Date:
1962-01-22
Abstract:
The exposure of pressure-vessel steels to moderate neutron dosages nsq cm greater than 1.0 Mev results in major changes in notch-ductility properties. The available data indicate that neutron dosage and irradiation temperature are the primary factors controlling notch-ductility behavior. Specific influences involving neutron spectrum and neutron dose rate nsq cmthe existence of such effects.
