Abstract:

The use of satellite radio transmissions to study the regular and irregular properties of the ionosphere is discussed. Preliminary data are given on the presence of elongated inhomogeneities at about 500 kilometers height. The evaluation of electron content at midlatitude, and near the magnetic equator is described.
