Abstract:
Measurements of the self diffusion of Pb-210 into undoped and doped single crystals of Pbs of known dislocation density have shown that in the temperature range of 500 to 800 C, the diffusion is predominantly via Frenkel defects. In the case of n-type, undoped PbS and p-type, Ag doped PbS the diffusion coefficients were larger than for undoped, stoichiometric PbS. Conversely for p-type, S excess undoped PbS and for n-type, Bi doped solid solutions, the diffusion coefficients were larger than for undoped stoichiometric PbS. Author
