Title:
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTRIC SPARK DISCHARGES IN MIXTURES OF HIGH- EXPLOSIVE AND ALUMINUM POWDERS

Report Date:

Abstract:
A method is described for obtaining the average resistance of a spark discharging through a granular conductive mix in a non-oscillating discharge system. The spark resistance is a linear function of the spark gap width for a given electrode arrangement. The resistance is relatively independent of the density of the mix over the range 0.7 to 0.9 ohm.
