Abstract:
Progress in high mach number and materials research is described. Laboratory construction was completed and the laboratory was occupied. Basic shock tube equipment was installed, and initial shock tube tests were undertaken. Successful operation of arc units was achieved and detailed arc investigations are now being undertaken.
