Abstract:
The addition of 50 of Dacron to wool in a light weight worsted fabric provides a lack of senstivity to thedverse effects of high humidity which is almost as great as that possessed by fabri made from 100 Dacron. This should result in an improvd appearance during wear, ven unde adverse humidity conditions. The use of a coarser than normal wool fiber for these light constructions also proved successful, the behavior being essentiallyas good for 56s quality as for 64s quality wool. A mechanistic analysis of the data provided a further understanding of th specific function of the non-swelling fiber i the blend. Author
