Abstract:
The reciprocal theorem of Betti and various variational prinies are generalized so as to be applicable to elastic bodies with incompatible strains. Based upon the reciprocal theorem, a number of integral formulas concerning strain and stress can be established. The general formulation of these integral theorems is shown to be applicable to both thermal problems and dislocation problems. Author
