Corporate Author:

Report Date:

Abstract:
Permeation rate tests have been completed for the nine high molecular weight compounds with three films. Many instances of rates in the range 4 to 12 gramshr-sq m were found. Permeation rates for neohexane through three films have been determined and rate factors calculated for nhexane, ethanol, acetone, and chloroform. These limited results lead to reasonable conclusions regarding the relationship between chemical types and rate factors. The remainder of the rate studies on neohexane and high molecular weight compounds are nearing completion. Author
