Abstract:
We have developed spectral methods in the discontinous Galerkin framework appropriate for simulations of high-speed flows in complex-geometry domains. In this paper we present details of the stability of the method and demonstrate the importance of over-integration for strongly nonlinear problems. We then present results from the application of the method to stability studies of supersonic and subsonic flows in a Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser COIL device.
