Abstract:
Because of their increasing requirements, modern guided missiles today have a very high degree of complexity. To improve cost-effectiveness and to reduce risk and uncertainty at the same time, new test concepts are necessary. Realtime simulations like Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations represent such new concepts. This means close loop simulation with actual present missile components in a laboratory environment where the physical environment is simulated and controlled by computer equipment. After a definition of SILHIL-simulation, the configuration of such a test equipment is presented. It gives an overview of the complexity of the thereby necessary hardware and software.
