The Ad Hoc Panel on Chemical Carcinogenesis Testing and Evaluation prepared a report recommending to the National Toxicology Board of Scientific Counselors methods that NTP should use to detect and evaluate chemical carcinogens. The Ad Hoc Panel consisted of three subpanels the first dealing with short term tests, the second with subchronic studies, and the third with chronic studies. The first subpanel reviewed the advantagesdisadvantages and correlation data for short term tests in general.
