Load Carrying Capacity of Double Circular Arc Gears,

This paper embodies an overview of some experimental and numerical investigations into several aspects of the load-carrying capacity of double circular arc D.C.A. gear teeth. Tooth deflection and bending moment distribution were studied using three dimensional holographic interferometry, whereas rootstresses were determined by means of miniature straingages. The finite element method were used to determine deflections numerically.
