Abstract:

An important issue in quantal response estimation problems considered by Mazzuchi and Singpurwalla is the design of the experiment. The objective there was to estimate the probability of response for a given stimulus, but due to the expense of the items, testing has to be kept to a minimum. As a continuation of the work by Mazzuchi and Singpurwalla 1982, this paper addresses the problem and presents a criterion for comparing several designs that are of interest.
