Abstract:

An analytic model of the basic decision making process is presented in this it is shown how external inputs may be employed to reduce the scale of the decision making task, which is represented in the form of a pair of coupled decision making processes. An approach based on control and estimation theory is used in modelling the decision making process this is supplemented by concepts drawn from knowledge representation and from game tree search. Finally the decision maker is examined as part of a control process in order to identify the relative tempos of different operations and interactions. Author
