Abstract:
The radar scientist is facing a challenging and inspiring future, one of matching new technological achievements to important applications in the field of remote detection and identification. This contribution is dedicated to the following concept Most of the existing detectionidentification systems do not make optimum use of all the a priori information on the object of interest that one generally is in possession of. Knowing something about the geometrical shape of the object on which our attention is focused distribution of scattering century, and about its motion pattern, an optimum illumination and detection system which adapts itself to this target against a terrestrial background through an adverse propagation medium can be designed.
