Abstract:
Several three-dimensional models have been developed for explaining the characteristics of composite resonators. The agreement between the resonance spectra predicted by the models and the experimental data is excellent, including spurious resonance frequencies. The size and geometry of the resonator is found to be directly responsible for the spurious resonances, and to be important for the principal resonances. A significant relationship between resonance frequencies and material properties has been found, and its implication is discussed. Author
