Pagination or Media Count:
The accidental bursting of a high-pressure gas pipeline has been modelled both in the laboratory using a special variant of shock tube with a wall-mounted diaphragm and by computation. The effect of bursting time and driver gas properties on the flow at various points in the vicinity of the burst has been studied and recommendations have been drawn up in relation to hazard avoidance.
