A high-gloss, corrosion-resistant coating which can be applied directly to surface comprising about 30 to 82 percent by weight of a polymeric binder and 18 to 70 percent by weight of a pigment system consisting essentially of zinc molybdate, zinc salt of benzoic acids, and zinc phosphate in specific ratios. The coating exhibits good adhesion, flexibility, chemical- and weather-resistance.
