Abstract:

A dual band microstrip antenna including a slotted microstrip radiating parallel to an spaced from a ground plane with dielectric material there between, the slotted microstrip radiating and having a first resonance corresponding to the dominant radiation mode that would occur in an unslotted microstrip and a second resonance created by the slot. The polarizations of the two resonances are perpendicular to each other with the slot resonance being polarized along the centerline of the slot. Patents.
