A streamline fairing comprises an elongated leading edge tension member, an elongated trailing edge member of flexible material integrity bonded to the leading and trailing members for preventing relative displacements therebetween and for improving the shape stability of the fairing. The flange member has a cross-sectional width which is between about 10 and about 50 of the maximum width of the fairing and a cross sectional length width which is between about 5 and about 20 of the chord length of the fairing.
