A polphthalocyanine is prepared by mixing SnCl2-2H2O with N, N-bis3,4-dicyanophenyldecane diamide. Heating the mixture to a temperature from about 175 C to about 185 C for about 15 to 20 minutes to form a resin and curing the resin at a temperature from about 190 C to about 230 C, the polyphthalocyanine is prepared. It is useful as an adhesive, as a matrix for glass or carbon-fiber reinforced composites, and as structural material.
