Solvolytic Degradation of Pyrotechnic Materials Containing Crosslinked Polymers.
DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY WASHINGTON D C
Pagination or Media Count:
Pyrotechnic materials containing a crosslinked polymer as a component thereof are decomposed by heating to a temperature of about 50 degrees to about 160 degrees C in a liquid medium comprising an active hydrogen containing compound capable of cleaving the chemical bonds contained in said polymer. One or more components of the pyrotechnic material may be separated from the products of the decomposition and reclaimed. Author
